Students play an interactive quizzing game to learn about space vocabulary. This set includes matching cards. For example, one card reads, “Moon.” The matching card gives the definition of the vocabulary word: A natural satellite that goes around a planet. Every student in class receives one card with either a space vocabulary word or the definition of a space vocabulary word. Students play Quiz-Quiz-Trade with their cards. The quizzing looks like this: Students put a hand up and find a partner. In the pair, one partner has the Moon card and asks, “What is a moon?” The other partner responds. Then they quiz the other way. The other partner has a card with the definition of an astronomer. He asks, “What is the term for a scientist who studies space?” His partner responds. Students trade cards and find a new partner to quiz. After many rounds of pairing and quizzing, the teacher asks students to hurry and find their partner with their matching card.
