Inside Sales Position

We are an education company that trains teachers to be the best they can be through the engagement of their students.  This position is vital to the success of our workshops, events and conferences.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the proactive sales of professional development solutions into K-12 schools and districts nationwide.
  • Work with the Executive team to strategize, develop plans, and execute plans for continued growth.
  • Coordinate efforts with existing sales program, servicing existing clients.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with school and district administrators to follow up, support and sell professional development solutions.
  • Persistently pursue conference leads and convert to new business.
  • Follow up with key training attendees to promote additional training.
  • Revive dormant accounts.
  • Contact clients via phone, email, and email campaigns.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3 years’ sales experience, preferably in educational sales or similar.
  • Strategic salesperson with a proven track record of sales growth.
  • Strong track record of quota attainment as an individual contributor.
  • Upbeat, positive attitude and very persistent.
  • Demonstrate and convey genuine enthusiasm for product and position.
  • Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced, growing environment.
  • Energetic self-starter with strong work ethic and excellent track record of success.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, prioritization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Travel: Ability to travel to educational conferences and meet with clients (up to 2–3 times per year).
  • Proficiency in utilizing CRM (contact) software.
  • Proficiency in creating sales reports.

Kagan Professional Development Sales Manager

We are an educational professional development company specializing in innovative teaching strategies primarily for K-12 schools. We are looking for a self-motivated salesperson with a track record of successful sales preferably to schools and districts.

Major Responsibilities

  • Manage an inside sales team
  • A contributing member of management
  • Implement company policies and procedures
  • Perform administrative management duties (conduct reviews and team meetings)
  • Maintain positive relationships among members of the sales team
  • Staffing: Interview, train, motivate and evaluate performance
  • Respond to incoming inquiries for staff development
  • Perform outbound sales calls and emails to clients
  • Resolve any problems with clients and/or events as they arise
  • Generate price quotes and negotiate pricing with clients
  • Educate and lead clients to appropriate training solutions and next steps
  • Create long-term plans with clients
  • Develop and institute plans for strategic partnerships and new business
  • Increase revenue and execute plans for growth

Requirements:

  • Educational knowledge and experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Experience in educational administration preferred
  • Proven sales experience
  • Sales manager experience preferred
  • Proficiency in creating sales reports/CRM software preferred
