Kagan 2024 Summer Academy
Scholarship Competition

To enter, click here to fill out the online application. Online entries only. Entries will be judged based on originality and clarity of expression, demonstration of passion for the teaching profession and expressed aspiration to share Kagan concepts and methods with peers, by a qualified panel of Kagan Professional Development representatives. Entries must be received by midnight PST on March 15, 2024. The winning entries will be selected and notified by email or phone on or about April 15, 2024. A limited amount of scholarships will be awarded to practicing teachers, administrator, and student teachers; additional scholarships may be awarded on sole discretion of Kagan Professional Development representatives. Winners will be asked to return an affidavit of eligibility/publicity release within 14 days of notification or an alternate winner will be selected. Only one entry per person. Entries must be original and previously unpublished and may not violate the rights of any third party. You must be a practicing teacher (a K–12 teacher, counselor, administrator or principal in a public or private elementary or secondary school; or a university or college-level instructor) or a student teacher (a student currently enrolled in a college or university teacher education program to become a K–12 teacher in a public or private elementary or secondary school). Employees and their families of Kagan Professional Development, and its subsidiaries and affiliates are not eligible. Kagan Professional Development is not responsible for entries that are delayed, incomplete, garbled, misdirected or misrouted as a result of interrupted or unavailable network connections or Internet transmissions or any computer, phone, hardware, software, human or mechanical malfunction. Kagan Professional Development is not responsible for late, incomplete, lost, inaccurate, or illegible entries. Kagan Professional Development reserves the right to cancel or suspend the sweepstakes should a virus, bug, computer problem, unauthorized human intervention or other cause beyond the control of Kagan Professional Development corrupt the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the competition and may disqualify any person who attempts or engages in such activity. Void where prohibited. Prior Summer Academy scholarship winners are not eligible to apply. Scholarships are for the 2024 Summer Academy only and may not be transferred or exchanged. Scholarships are not available for Kagan's Regional Summer Trainings. All entries become the property of Kagan Professional Development and will not be acknowledged or returned. Entry and acceptance of prize constitute permission to use winner's name, entry, photograph or likeness for promotional purposes without additional compensation or permission except where prohibited by law. Winners agree to release and hold harmless Kagan Professional Development from any liability arising out of participation in this promotion or the acceptance and use of the prize.
