What data to collect to show effectiveness of Kagan?

Post by jansam » Sat Oct 22, 2016 7:12 pm

Hi there
I have just done the 5 day course in Australia and I have come back to my school enthusiastic and eager to encourage my colleagues to also do the course and implement Kagan into their classrooms. I teach year 4 ( 8- 9 year olds ).
My head teacher has advised me to collect data to convince others.
Please advise me on the best way to collect data and what areas to consider.
Many thanks
Jansam

Jansam -

Congratulations on completing the CL Institute! During the 5 days, there was a lot of information shared. Unless you are a researcher, compiling accurate and compelling data can be difficult. Luckily, Dr Kagan did a lot of that work for you. Your Cooperative Learning Book has chapters dedicated to: WHY WE NEED CL, THE RESEARCH BEHIND CL, AND THE BENEFITS OF CL. Take a look through Chapters 2,3 and 4. I think you can find for what you are looking.

Also this website has a link to FREE ARTICLES and one of the links from that is RESEARCH.

I hope this helps!!!
