Giveline.com is an online retail store that donates a portion of the purchase to the organization the shopper designates — and that organization can be your school! Now, by simply shopping online, parents, teachers, and the community can generate funds for your cause. Whether your cause is to receive Kagan training or to beautify your school, shoppers can make donations when they buy books, movies, music, video games, electronics, home and kitchen supplies, gifts, or even buy travel packages.
The donation amount can range anywhere from 7%-33% of sales, on average they donate about 16% for all products. This is extremely high when compared to affiliate programs or charity malls, comparing similar products. Within the store they display the maximum amount that can be donated from the purchase of each particular product. There is no set amount donated, it is completely dependent on what products the customer chooses and whether they choose to donate their discount. If the customer chooses to donate their discount, the dollar amount the customer would have received as the discount is passed on to the school as an additional donation amount. During checkout the customer can see the exact amount that is being donated, to the penny.
They do not charge any fees for being a part of Giveline. They send out checks to charities at the end of each quarter. They require a minimum of $20 in order to send a check. Balances that have not reached $20 will be transferred to the next quarter.
