hello,
I will soon be student teaching in a special education classroom. I just wanted to know if there are any special ed. teachers who use Kagan's implementations in thier classroom, if so, what do you use?
............
Also, has there been research on the effectiveness of kagan's strategies on students with learning disabilities?

Jackie,
I have known many special education teachers that utilize the structures. Many of the roundrobins and roundtables work well as well as Timed Pair Share. I have also seen Mix Pair Share, Inside Outside Circle and Match Mine used. Basically, they all are usable. Just make sure the content is a good match and you structure it tightly. There use to be some free articles on the website regarding the use of structures and special education. You might check to see if they are still posted.
